IMPROVING STUDENTS’ PRONUNCIATION THROUGH TONGUE TWISTER TECHNIQUE AT THE TENTH GRADE COMPUTER AND NETWORK ENGINEERING 1 OF SMK NEGERI 1 SINJAI

The result of this research showed that the students’ were different before and after applying tongue twister technique. The mean of the pre-test was 51,29 while the mean of post-test one was 68,57 and the post-test two was 79. The result of the normality test of pre-test was 0,10 > 0,05, the normality test of post-test one was 0,88 > 0,05 and the normality test of post-test two was 0,200 > 0,05 all of the normality test can be concluded that the data were normally distributed. The result of paired sample T-test between pre-test and post-test one was 0,000 < 0,05 and paired sample T-test between pre-test and post-test one was 0,000 < 0,05 and can be concluded that the data had improvement students’ pronunciation. The result of the N-gain post-test one was 0.35 and the post-test two was 0.57. Therefore, there were a significant different after applying tongue twister technique. The result of this research concluded that the tongue twister technique could improve students’ pronunciation at the Tenth Grade Computer and Network Engineering 1 of SMK Negeri 1 Sinjai.
