The results of the data analysis show that the normality test using Shapiro
Wilk resulted in a significance value of 0.947 for the pretest and 0.617 for the
posttest, both of which are greater than 0.05, indicating that the data are normally
distributed. The homogeneity test using Levene's Test also showed homogeneous
data with a significance value of 0.098 (> 0.05). Furthermore, the results of the
Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is
less than 0.05. This indicates a significant difference between the students’ pretest
and posttest scores after being given treatment using the Story Cubes game. The
improvement in students' learning outcomes is also supported by the N-Gain test
results, which showed a score of 0.6490 or 64.89%, rounded to 65%, and
categorized as "moderate." Descriptively, the students’ average score increased
from 36.36 in the pretest to 97.14 in the posttest. Based on these results, it can be
concluded that the Story Cubes game is effective in teaching English sentence
writing to Grade 7-1 students of SMPN 35 Sinjai.
